LASIE Committees

Communications Committee

To promote the Association and enhance its image, this Committee is responsible for the overall quality of publications, brochures and other material of the Association. 

Conference Committee

This Committee is responsible for the planning of the Association's Annual Conference.  The association’s Vice-President chairs this committee.

Education Committee

This Committee is responsible for developing programs to address the educational needs of LASIE members and the workers’ compensation industry.

Governmental Committee

This Committee is responsible for reviewing issues that may affect governmental and municipal members.

Group Self Insurance Fund Matters Committee

This Committee is responsible for reviewing issues that may affect group self-insurance fund members. 

Legislative Committee

To further the objectives of the Association, this Committee shall study proposed or pending legislation and submit recommendation thereon to the LASIE Board of Directors.  The committee may, with approval of the Board of Directors, introduce or support legislation deemed to be in the best interest of the self-insurance industry and may oppose legislation considered to be detrimental to the self-insurance industry.

Membership Committee

The duty of the Committee shall be to pursue the continued growth of the Association membership and to recommend programs and services to enhance and promote the Association to group self insurance funds, self insured employers, service companies and other businesses associated with the self insurance industry. 

Self Insured Employer Matters

This Committee is responsible for reviewing issues that may affect self-insured employer members.
