As of the fall of 2003, over 1,100 individuals representing more than 300 companies have enrolled in the classes. Of these individuals, over 1,000 have successfully completed the program to earn the CWCP designation. This comprehensive program is designed to provide a thorough foundation for all workers' compensation professionals. Take advantage of this excellent program or send your entire staff for this intensive workers' compensation training.

The Certified Workers' Compensation Program will be offered in four modules, taught by knowledgeable instructors who are leaders in the field of workers' compensation.

CWCP classes will be held at The Bankers Center located at 5555 Bankers Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA. Participants may register for all modules or individual modules. Check-in begins at 8:30 am with classes starting promptly at 9:00 am and ending at approximately 5:00 pm each day. Participants are required to stay for the duration of class to receive attendance credit. Training materials will be provided, but you will need to bring a highlighter with you. Lunch is on your own each day.

Individuals who successfully complete all four modules within a two year period; take part in discussions and exercises; and pass a series of examination are recognized as Certified Workers' Compensation Professionals. They receive a Certified Workers' Compensation Professional Certificate and are entitled to use the CWCP designation.

Professionals from all areas of the workers' compensation industry such as, claim handlers, attorneys, physicians, rehabilitation counselors, nurses, and therapists will benefit from this program. It is recommended for people employed by individual employers both insured and self-insured, group self insurance funds, insurance companies, third party administrators, agents, brokers and state agencies. All workers' compensation professionals will benefit from this comprehensive program by gaining the specialized knowledge and skills required in this field. Attendees should have experience in some area of workers' compensation.
