Re-Certification and Accreditation

Re-certification Information

When individuals successfully complete the certification program, they will be certified for a period of two years following the program. At the end of that time, they must be re-certified for successive two-year periods. The recertification period for CWCP designees doesn’t begin until January 1 of the year following the receipt of the designation. See complete recertification details and forms you may below.

RE-CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Re-certification applicants must submit evidence of attendance for 24 hours of continuing education prior to or at the time of applying for recertification. Courses must be attended during the designee's recertification period and must relate to workers' compensation to receive approval. Applicants must complete option a. or option b. shown below to confirm course attendance. Either a CE Course Pre-Approval Request or an Evidence of Continuing Education form must be submitted for each CE course attended**.

a. Complete and submit a  Continuing Education Pre-Approval Request attach a copy of the agenda containing the title and length of the course, and speaker information. After attending the course, you will need to submit a copy of the Certificate of Attendance you received or complete a Continuing Education Certificate of Attendance signed by an authorized representative of the sponsoring organization

b. Complete an Evidence of Continuing Education form for each course attended (make additional copies of the form as needed). Attach a copy of the Certificate of Attendance you received a copy of the agenda or outline of the seminar material and speaker information. If the sponsored course does not present attendance certificates, you will need to complete a Continuing Education Certificate of Attendance signed by an authorized representative of the sponsor organization.

2. Submit an Application for CWCP/ CMSP Re-certification

3. $100 re-certification fee due with application.

**** If all 24 hours of continuing education credit requirements have been met by attending LASIE conferences, steps 1 & 2 will be waived. Online courses will not be accepted. To receive CE credit, attendees are required to sign in at each LASIE sponsored seminar or conference.
